5. July 2024NIMBUS VotingUnit offers best user experience
Electronic voting units are standard for General Meetings or Delegate Assemblies today. However, there are big differences with regard to user-friendliness. Developed in-house, the NIMBUS VotingUnit stands out among all products, in particular because it interacts with its user, confirms every action, can handle group votes and electoral lists, and allows selections to be corrected at any time.
Immediate system feedback for every action
You know the situation: you fill out a contact or order form, click on the send button and... nothing. You start to wonder: did it work? Was my order accepted? Do I need to click again?
Users of voting units feel the same way. They are insecure if they do not receive interaction feedback: the system’s confirmation that shows the vote has been registered.

Essential facts on the electronic voting device
The best user guidance on the market
When developing its VotingUnit, Nimbus placed great emphasis on user experience. The state-of-the-art touch display is completely self-explanatory and allows intuitive handling. The device always explains what to do next: “Please select”, and confirms every action: “Selection registered”. In addition, the vote can be corrected until final confirmation. Only then will the system accept the vote. Anonymous voting is also guaranteed – unlike devices that confirm the election with light pulses, for example.
Customizable basic display
Every company decides on the information to be displayed by the NIMBUS VotingUnit’s touch screen, for example the event title, the participant’s name and voting power.
Nimbus prepares all the systems prior to the General Assembly. At the gate, shareholders are handed out their own VotingUnit, with their personal details registered according to the entry card. This data is deleted immediately at the end of the General Meeting.
Simple vote, group vote, and electoral lists
When voting on individual agenda items, participants can choose between “yes”, “no” or “abstention”. For elections, e.g. to the Board of Directors, all the candidates can be grouped together into a single vote. The participants can vote “yes”, “no” or “abstention” for every candidate. The decisions – that can be corrected at any time – are then shown in an overview. An electoral list is created when there are more candidates than seats available. Shareholders can choose the maximum number possible from among all the candidates and are then shown an overview that they can correct as they wish.
NIMBUS VotingUnit – because it’s all about security
You may be wondering why Nimbus prefers using a voting device rather than a smartphone? It’s very simple: the NIMBUS VotingSystem is an independent, self-contained system. The voting devices interact with the servers on their own radio frequency. This enables Nimbus to ensure topmost availability and security and guarantee that sufficient bandwidth is available for analyses within seconds.
