Daniel Stucki, Nimbus CEO for 100 days now, on quality, efficiency and business continuity

Daniel Stucki was appointed Nimbus CEO in July 2025. After 100 days at the head of the company, he now shares his views on business continuity, cultural change, an agile mindset and promoting active development.

Responsibility, change, and the art of staying in motion purposefully

Daniel Stucki has been CEO of Nimbus AG since 1 July 2025. He is a well-known figure within the IT technology company headquartered in the Glarus region. The thoroughly planned passing of the torch to the next generation was conducted in a highly professional way. A review of the new CEO’s first 100 days in office now proves not only the success of the changeover, but also its invigorating effect. Daniel is leading the company towards a new phase of its development: in a fresh, dynamic and agile way, with entrepreneurial foresight and supported by a strong team. Customers thus benefit from the planning security they require.

Daniel, you have been CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors for about 100 days now. How are you feeling?

“I’m feeling great. It’s an honour for me to lead this company. Sometimes, I still have to get used to my new role. I often ask myself: do I now want to put in my two cents, or is it better for me as a CEO to deliberately leave the playing field to the respective team?”

You are now focusing more on internal matters, right?

“Yes, we are. After an intense AGM season, I am making use of this quieter period to reflect and develop processes with the teams. We are looking into ways to make work processes even more transparent and to improve procedural organization. This enables more reliable planning and uneventful processes, so as to increase the capacity of dealing with unusual situations where we are called upon to assist our customers.

Another topic we are currently investigating is the medium-term generational change: several key positions will need to be filled due to retirement in the next few years. Nimbus uses this moment to secure knowledge, emphasize values and bring corporate culture into the spotlight. We actively embody our values: Competent. Dynamic. Connected. And our employees are making their contribution, each one according to his or her possibilities.”

I can feel your energy and drive for your new job.

“Staying in motion is very important for me. I want to lead a company that actively shapes itself. Standing still is not an option. Quality, efficiency and resilience are decisive for maintaining good long-term customer relationships and for corporate success in the long run. This is why business continuity is one of the main focuses of my work – the capability of ensuring processes and services even in extraordinary situations. This is not only a topic within our company, but also for our clients. Our aim is to provide solutions and services that can help them to stay operational, whatever happens. We are continuously working towards this goal.”

What key projects are you currently working on?

“One of them is the so-called worst-case scenario to make sure General Meetings can be conducted even in case of a system failure. Though it is highly improbable for the NIMBUS VotingSystem to fail, we have developed a very simple procedure enabling us to adhere to legal requirements and to carry out a compliant AGM in any event.

At the same time, we are working on the next development step for the NIMBUS AR platform that will be entirely web browser based with a modern GUI. Also, we are preparing a new generation of voting devices.”

What’s your vision for the next couple of years?

“We want Nimbus to be THE digitization partner in the field of share register management and General Assemblies. Our experience of 35 years, in combination with our new energies, makes us unique. Our mindset is flexible, we act with foresight and develop solutions that bring real benefits to our customers, today and tomorrow.”

Dani, we created a hashtag for you to choose from. Which do you prefer: #NimbusMoves, #MadeInGlarus or #ShapingContinuity?

“NimbusMoves is my favourite. Because it sums up perfectly what Nimbus stands for: movement, change, and effectiveness. The slogan is worded openly, leaving room for interpretation and showing that we are constantly developing and taking others with us on this path. It is short, can be understood on an international level while also being emotional. I think it expresses succinctly and perfectly that Nimbus moves not only things, but also people and ideas.”

Conclusion

After 100 days in office, Daniel Stucki clearly stands for both continuity and a new start. While Nimbus remains what it has always been, i. e. a reliable partner for governance and digitization, it also integrates a new vigour and a strong dynamic focus on a sustainable future.
