Are these benefits worth the taxpayers’ money?

With regards to using the electronic voting devices provided by Nimbus, municipal presidents state that they consider it as an investment in democracy… because it makes assemblies more attractive and thus increases attendance. What is more, voters’ feedbacks are very positive, with no exception. Does the Nimbus system really work, even with complex agendas?

Yes, it does. The system is tailored to municipal needs: it can reproduce unannounced agenda items, list multiple motions per agenda item, or process flexible electronic agendas. This works faultlessly and is already standard in several municipalities. The system takes only seconds to aggregate, evaluate and display voting results, including elections and collective votes.

Why does Nimbus use voting devices instead of smartphones?

Because NIMBUS VS is an independent system. The devices communicate directly with the servers via a closed wireless network with a specific radio frequency. The system meets all requirements with regards to security and data protection, ensures topmost availability and offers sufficient bandwidth, even with a large group of attendees. Moreover, all data are being erased from all devices and servers immediately after the end of the meeting.
